Professor Witold Świda (born February 10, 1899, died February 21, 1989)
An outstanding Polish criminalist and criminologist, professor of the University and University of Technology in Wrocław and rector of the University of Wrocław in the years 1959–1962. Doctor honoris causa of the University of Wrocław (1988).

Professor Tomasz Kaczmarek (born March 7, 1936 in Toruń)
An outstanding Polish criminal lawyer, full professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Wrocław. For over thirty years he headed the Wrocław criminal law center. In the years 1972-1991 he was the director of the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology. In the years 1996-2006 he was the head of the Department of Substantive Criminal Law. In the years 1984-1992 he was a member of the Committee of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Multiple scholarship holder, among others: Foundation Alexander von Humboldt and the Max Planck Foundation. From 1980, he participated in the work on the reform of criminal law, finalized with the adoption of the new Penal Code of 1997. In the years 1980-1981 – member of the Commission for the development of changes in criminal law at the Minister of Justice. In the years 1987-1997, member of the Ministerial Commission for the reform of criminal law. In the years 2001-2002 – expert of the Sejm Committee on prepared amendments to the Act – Penal Code of 1997.
