Doctor honoris causa of the University of Wroc\u0142aw (1988).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selected works: The impact of regime change on crime (1960), Criminal law. General part (7th ed. 1971), Criminal law. Special part (6th ed. 1971, co-author), Criminal Law (1978), Penal Code with commentary (1973, co-author), Criminal Law (4th ed. 1989).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Professor Tomasz Kaczmarek<\/strong> (born March 7, 1936 in Toru\u0144)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An outstanding Polish criminal lawyer, full professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Wroc\u0142aw. For over thirty years he headed the Wroc\u0142aw criminal law center. In the years 1972-1991 he was the director of the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology. In the years 1996-2006 he was the head of the Department of Substantive Criminal Law. In the years 1984-1992 he was a member of the Committee of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Multiple scholarship holder, among others: Foundation Alexander von Humboldt and the Max Planck Foundation. From 1980, he participated in the work on the reform of criminal law, finalized with the adoption of the new Penal Code of 1997. In the years 1980-1981 &#8211; member of the Commission for the development of changes in criminal law at the Minister of Justice. In the years 1987-1997, member of the Ministerial Commission for the reform of criminal law. In the years 2001-2002 \u2013 expert of the Sejm Committee on prepared amendments to the Act \u2013 Penal Code of 1997.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selected works: Social danger of an act and its illegality as two features of a crime (1966); Material essence of the crime and its statutory features (1968); Judicial sentencing in the Polish People&#8217;s Republic in the light of survey research (1972); Crime against family, care and youth (1979), scientific ed.; General directives of judicial sentencing in terms of judicial theory and practice (1980); Problems of social pathology (1986), scientific editor and co-author; The judge&#8217;s decision on the penalty and its psychosocial conditions (1987), co-author of Theoretical problems of criminal liability in Polish and German criminal law (1990), scientific editor and co-author; Reflections on crime and punishment.
